cut through the bottom half of the tree trunk. and when u slash it with the sword it kinda just falls the oposite way u hit it. so ye clean through it.

left down up and right falling :P thx

You need music for your game? I'll make some! I use Logic Pro to make it. What style of music do you need? House? Techno? Indie? Orchestral? :shock:

I'll be having some more free time now. The cutting of the tree is kind of hard. I am not sure exactly what you want. Is this good? When I make the full sprites I will make the leaves better, probably add another frame to the end showing the tree compress, and also make it so the stump does look like it was cut. Any other suggestions? You don't want the tree debris right? It does seem a bit jumpy... what do you think?

could you have it so the tree trunk is the part that is cut? dont add all that stuff that flys of coz it messes with the zdepth

make it so he cuts into the tree.. the tree trunk is still left. like a small bit of it and the branches up to that point fall on the floor around it. remember its kinda 3d and the rest falls over. and i need it left right up and down. :) see what ya can do

So you want only the tree trunk to be cut, and to have the rest of the tree fall, and only some of the branches remain on the ground? So the ending animation will be a stump with some branches, but the stump will be small? Also, here are some more wall sprites. You also wanted some going back, or walls that go up and down, right? For the name, if you haven't come up with one already, should it be 'unique'? Or should it be a more 'common'?

I don't concern myself with the music as this is not my game. I am just doing the sprites. Also, one of the earlier posts described the music type assuming the help is needed.

ok i made a very ruff idea of the end frame showing what i ment

the trunk is cut higher up than you can actully see. and the branches and stuff that where stopping u from seeing it are all cut away like they would be. so not only does he cut through the trunk he cuts through the branches aswell


for the walls i need very big ones aswell


like massive ones that would deffend a castle or somthing

So you don't want the chopped part of the tree to disappear? It should just lay there with the rest. Concerning the castle walls, you want me to actually make a castle front? I thought that was what the tiles were for.
Here are some sprites. There will be treasure chests in this game right? And if I am going to do the NPCs, will they move, or are they stationary? And for the enemies, what should they look like? Are they human and other details. If these don't fit or need adjusting just tell me.

all the stuff is great apart from the withered tree because once again the zdepth messes with it. ive tryed to edit it to fix it but its no good. but the other stuff is being used. im kinda at that stage where you can draw what ever you want and it will find its place into the game as i am building it. so if ya feel like drawing anything for the game feel free to. treasure chests im sure will be a good add in but i dont want to make the game to rpg. so health and magic stuff can go in there :). also there will be parts of the world you cant get to but can see so you can draw really details stuff and add shadows in like the first tree version and stuff as the player wont actully walk near them but will be able to see them

if theres anything you dont understand just ask
(Basically ) draw anything you want and ill fit it in

NPCs

some will be walking around like just little paths to follow. do you think it would be easyer to make them walk in an animation or use paths

walk in animation

the player follows a path that is set in the animation

walk in path

npc has a left right up and down animation and it changes as it needs to when following the path



Personally i think making the npcs walk and change animation when needed is very time consuming. so if it isnt to hard to make them walk a small path in the animation then you could do that. make them walk in an L shape and a square shape.

In short npcs need to be walking a small L shaped path (about the size of the house you drew) and a square shaped path (the same size)





Enemys.

i know these are sometimes the most imporant thing in a game. i am still brain storming on what these should look like and act ect. ill get back to you soon on this

a - left
d - right
s -down


(after picking up the pacman in the corner of the wooden fence)
Space + the movment key of your choice - attack


left click on the pacman in the top right to save
right click to load it again.

Sky

can you make me a save button and a sword you can pick up?

What style should it be, the save button, and is there a preferred font. I can't play the demo, so if there is a description of what you want or a certain style, I can't see it.

i also need a pause menu made out of the same sort of texture but like an old fashion scroll this should be around 400 pixels high no more than 480 and width what ever looks good with that.

You can always do the npcs like the method in the ged. You could also set it to one global counter, but then you would need to organize it accordingly. Also, certain things the player does can be used to effect the timer so you can do anything with the npcs.
