but, I think, making GE compatible for Mac sounds rather like a big project that needs some time.

First, you need to find out if new releases for iphone need to be certified before they will be carried by major distribution channels. Getting a product certified can be an expensive process. For example, if you develope a game for the Symbian SmartPhone most of the major carriers will not even offer it for sale to their customers unless the game has been certified.
Secondly, there needs to be some kind of iphone simulator that runs on a PC. The simulator should be able to "dumb down" a cpu's speed to that of the iphone to give it realistic results (I do not know what speed the iphone's cpu runs at). This would mainly be used for testing by people that do not have an iphone to test the final version on.
