i had a idea on the resident evil game to make it better just a idea u might consider dont know if its possible to do this but
ok zombies come at u by movine a little to the right and down i think u should change the size of the image from small to larg and mutiple sprites of diffrent size or code that changes the size of the zombie image so as it gets closer to u it gets larger
for more from me check out my web site!!!

This will change game editor forever, but I hope you go all the way. Show everybody that Game Editor can do alot. Change the Homepage to make it more organized. Destroy Game Maker. I will help any way I can. Maybe get my friend who owns his website to spread the work. :D

if their is anything resident evil tought us in games- is that you can do wonders with pre rendered background/foregrounds. you can make them animated (like a posh room with fire place, and fire animated with all the sutble flickers of light) and scroll across it. you can also use an actor as a movie screen, and animate a sequence forwards/backward as you move your character (which in actuallity is not moving, as it remains stuck infront of the screenboard) the limitation of this approuch is that the environment that has the 'moving through' animation, cannot animate elements like curtains blowing in the wind as you pass them. i made a crappy examle to show, its a side scroll, but you could just as eaily do a move forward/back version. it could be used to move you through the mansion from one shooting range to the next like time crisis.

did this as a simple looksee to using a crappy throw together of two blender 3d renders. to see how to create a looping back drop like in odinspere (can't use repeat for ever and parellax as the layers will get left behind too much- must have been done in 3d, on planes)
