Anyway, the fighting in the ice backyard sometimes wouldn't work well for me. I'd sort of hit enemies and it'd collide and do no damage or make no hit sound. Probably collision boxes were used for fighting?
Working on a probably too ambitious project! Wild-west-adventure-RPG-shooter-thing.

Wow, good job, Bee-Ant!
I like this game a lot.

One thing stood out..
When there is rainy and the scene is darkened and you move there glints lighted square-shaped places as the view moves. It's quite hard to explain, I'll send a screenshot soon..

Also I think that the fight sounds are too loud.. I'd like to hear the music better. What about adding sound options where one could change the music and sfx volume? :)

And how do I use the weapons?
I bought a hammer but character just carried it, didn't use it for anything.
I guess there is some simple thing I just haven't found out yet.. :D

But overall, very nice game and done well. :D
I also like the menus and cutscenes.

Indeed, me too...still fixing on those bugs.
Anyway, I just cleared the story before Sherena trip on that demo...
So don't expect it to be smooth once you stepped in Sherena :)

Yeah, I use collision box...kind of it
You need to press the forward button as well while punching.
But seems like I already fix this :)

I know what you mean. It's an adaptive color checking system.
If I didn't do that, the background color won't match with the sky color and looks ugly.
I use Timer for that in Object->CreateActor->CheckColorMatch.
Seems like I need to make the time a bit faster. It's 500 ms.

CURRENTLY, you can only carry it. You already got the effect actually, like carrying a shield will boost your defense, carrying hammers or swords will boost your Physical Attack, etc. But you just haven't got the animation yet
That's the reason why I put "Demo" label on it :P

sometimes coins will appear in the back of a scenery while you appear in front of it S:

And for like every second, the game lags for a frame on the computer back in college which are XPS i7 cores, kinda strange, then again, my STX1 lagged more on those computers than mine, dell is bad!

I use a laptop (AMD Turion 64 X2 with old ATi Radeon 1250) with 2 OSes, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04
It lags like hell in Ubuntu, but fast as heaven in Windows.

I don't really understand the game.. but when trying to play it I find myself having to press 1 just to survive.

Also, using the flying character at the green world boss guy. This happened. I flew up to the farthest point and the boss guy was bouncing around the bottom of the screen. If I moved he just bounced around the bottom going where I went.

It seems I may have an old version.. redownloading..

Ok so I am playing the new version. I like it so far. But I bought Black Armor, but when I checked my Pocket, the Item I got was a rainbow fish.

Clicking Main Menu from the pause screen ends the game.

Pressing spacebar to reload the map sometimes crashes it.

Pressing spacebar and then hitting I twice causes the character to get stuck in the air and you have to reload the map again to get unstuck, sometimes causes crashing. Also, this changes the element of the character to fire. I am guessing this is the first element, but reloading sends it back to normal. If you load the first level when he is talking and do this is causes the menu not to disappear and if you press k it lets you continue the story but the menu stays up, if you press i then you can't access the menu and it stays blank.

Pressing K while the map is loading causes a lot more crazy stuff..
After awhile it just crashes.


You can get hit from ridiculous distance by that birds circle wind attack. it kills me from across the screen, usually when I am on the right side and it is on the left.

reloading the map even after finishing the first mission while not having left the meeting menu will cause you to have to go back in to the meeting room and get the next mission again.

I like it :)

Before I answer all of your bug reports, EvenBlack...looking to your screenshot, seems like you're using the previous demo :)
And looking to your reports as well, they seem to be related to the previous demo too.

There is more to it then just pressing spacebar. Its on level load, if you press I or K it will do some strange stuff like freeze. The spacebar actually freed the game so I could continue playing.

Like if you press I when the level loads and someone is talking the menu will pop up but you can't do anything to exit it unless you reload the level.

Also if you do it at the beginning, just press I a couple times while trying to get a mission it will freeze up. You have to use spacebar to reload the map.

Here is a kind of example using the main room.. I made a screenshot so you could see it.

Question Bee. How do you go about all the types of items in the game? I'm working on something that has different types of guns and different types of armor, but how would I do all the stats for the gun? It doesn't seem practical to have a 12D array... Did you just have an item array that has 50 types of items and then have everything based off that? Seems more practical, but harder to keep track of. Sorry to go off topic :lol:

Hmmm, I use separated arrays for those...like:
