RTS basics: movement and avoid obstacles

Postby ITomi » Sat Apr 22, 2017 2:55 pm

I have made a small tutorial program in GE (RTSalap.zip), which maybe useful for those programmers, who wish create RTS or RPG games with GE.
For details, please look over the source code, in which I wrote comments.

That's a really nice demo, I was thinking of making an RTS game but I just didn't have time for it.
The only thing that may be bad for others is the fact that the variable/function names are in Hungarian. It's less readable to others.
By the way it's good to see that I'm not the only Hungarian over here.

Yeah, kinda... I've been busy lately attending the "Piscine" and before that finishing school, but I hope I can be more active now.

Welcome back Tzoli! It's good to see GE's former members coming back, it's a sign that the forum will become active once more. :D

Thank you for your comments, boys!
I working on an RTS game with GE1.4.1, which based on this tutorial. But I have a big problem: the source code is larger than 11MB till now (without the music and sound effects!). This means that I not to be able to upload it to this forum?

To give you a foretaste, here is a screenshot from my game "Star colony":

Just upload it to Dropbox or somewhere similar, and just share the link to the file.
