OLD version-
Here is the first demo of my new game "Planet Hijack" :lol: . It is a game about a soldier who tries to escape when our Planet Earth is Hijacked.
I am a beginner so my game is not well managed in terms of scripting. There is little moonwalking of shield.
I took sprites from a post on forum and these are incredibly good and totally free.
There is no help in game so I am explaining the controls here,
* Left and right arrow keys to change direction.
* Up arrow key to accelerate.
* Space Key to shoot.

And you found the graphics on the forum? They do look good.

I did not find any bugs, other than the level not ending :wink:

- Add sound
- Add a background in the game. Now you are floating around in black space. But I think if you add a few stars (doesn't have to many of them) then you get more sense of movement when flying the spaceship around.
- Add some visual barrier at the edges of the play field. Now you just bump into nothing at the edges.
- If you stop pressing the up arrow the space ship stops a bit too fast for me. It would feel nicer if it glides a little more.
- Show a health bar above the enemies when they take damage.

Hope you can turn this into a full game.

Thanks for suggestions!

But I am having problem with enemy health bars.
I know how to make them for individual ones but how can we make them for a large number of cloned enemies.
I hope adding this feature wouldn't be too tough.
Everyone is bound to one's sphere of knowledge.

Make every enemy create its own health bar in the enemy's Create Actor event and set the created enemy to be the health bar's parent. You will also need to make the health variable.an actor variable instead of global variable, so that every enemy has their own health.

I used this method and it worked really well.
I added sounds and background also. These all changes increased the quality of game to great
extent.
I would soon upload a complete level with menus and multiple powerups.
