uhm,hi everyone.xD

uhm,i just joined his forum,im planning to make a game like megaman zero.coz i love that game,the reason i chose GE is because it can support pocket PC games,wouldnt it be cool to have a megamanZ on Pocket PC? lol
anyway,i used the word of someone here,i dont know the name,but thanks,uhm,the guy who is teaching how to make a mario style game..

as im saying,my problem is,my zero can only jump and move,any idea how to make it slash?and i had make my own animation using GIMP,i made zero run right -->
it took my hours making that one gif image,uhm,any ideas how to make it run left,or mirroring the image to run left?coz it takes time to make one,i need time for studying,so i need lesser time to make.
please help me out.

hehe, I have a script for that but its a bit advanced :3... Dont worry about that moonwalk but right now Get to know GE first and then when you understand the code a bit, I'll show ya Or you can just click here to try your luck at it now lol.

First, create a variable called STATE. Thats preety much it then look at the"ChangeAnimation" names to change around the names inbetween the quotes to fit your needs

hahaha,my zero is stepping on foes instead of slashing them,lol.
any way,how to make a variable "STATE" again?uhm
add event ->Draw Actor -> Script Editor -> Variables -> Add then name it "STATE"?

and does it work on games like mario style?

and i have a liiiiitle problem about my tiling,haha
i cant snap to actor!!whaah
im usin a netbook,i doesnt have a mouse nor a left shift..are there other ways to make it not smear to the PC making it laggy?

Sure Click Config - Preferences - Snap to grid - yes

Change the grid size to your needs

Anyway to lower the height of the jump change the number "yvelocity = -4" for example.

I'm not too familiar with Gif, but if you can get ahold of each frame, you might consider just using microsoft paint

that way, you could easily reverse the frames to change his direction


also, I hope you finish your megaman zero game, I'd like to see Zero in action again!
