What are your favourite free applications?

Postby Fuzzy » Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:19 am

List 10 or so.

They should be free ware, or open source. Games count too!

Thanks.

How could I possibly forget to mention GIMP? It's almost as good as photoshop and doesn't even slow down your computer!

Here's some of the best free software that i use regularly and couldn't get by without:

Audacity-----------wav editor
Freemind----------mindmapping/technical game document planner
TargetDefense----the best tower defense game ever
JoyToKey-----------keyboard/joystick mapper
Camstudio---------Pc Screen Recorder
Inkscape-----------Vector/SVG editor
IcoFX---------------Icon maker
Phun----------------Physic simulator
Renamus-----------File/Folder renamer
Winamp------------Crossformat media player
Media Monkey-----Audio Player/encoder
AviCodec-----------Media File codec identifier
Processing---------Java programming API
Omega Drivers----Replacement for standard Nvidia/Ati graphics drivers

Also, i hate to be a negative nancy, but programs like minesweeper, Internet explorer, mspaint, etc. are NOT freeware at all; they are part of the Microsoft Windows suite and you cannot use them (legally) unless you purchase a copy of windows.
It's easier to be clever than it is to be kind.
