Linux?

Postby WauloK » Sat Jul 22, 2006 3:19 am

I'm trying to work out if it's possible to CREATE games using Linux or if you can only create games of any kind with Windows and export to linux & pocketpc.

The reason is I want to blow away my Windows partition and go fully Linux (possibly SUSE) but want to be able to use GE since I've paid for it and it's a fantastic application. I don't really want to dual boot/parallels/vmware/etc.
Available for Beta-testing.. PM me!
Black 16Gb iPhone 3GS
Windows 7: 2Gb RAM. Dell 9150.

It is only possible to export stand-alones using windows, so don't wipe windows!

You can do all of the development in Linux, and reboot into Windows, and export it... That's what I do all of the time. :D

Binaries that will run on linux? Really? This is great news! After searching the forum, I was under the impression it currently wasn't possible. Thanks for clearing that up.
