I am currently working on a Survivor game (Yes dont laugh hehe) and without a very good knowledge I am just trying to learn as I go with the program. There are many things I need to initially start the game and then later on I will probably have some more questions regarding the person to person interaction with talking. At the moment I have 16 different actors which are 8 males and 8 females which need to be split into 2 tribes of 4 men and 4 women. I also need to have a random number generator which selects a tribe name, tribe colour, age and occupation from a certain amount of choices (not exactly sure yet). There are also 2 main things that I am also having problems with.....
1. I have a menu screen which the player selects their age, inputs their name and occupation from a text box, chooses which character animation the person wishes to have and also a range of individual statistics (10) ranging from 0-100 with a maximum point allocation of 500 points for the person. What I need is to transfer these statistics in some way (variables I assume?) from the menu game to the real game, which are 2 seperate GED files?
2. I have 16 different animations for the 16 tribe members in the game, I am just not sure how to allocate the remaining animations to the other tribe members in the game once the person has chosen their initial animation and have it all work out in accordance with the 4 to 4 ratio of men and women initially in the tribes.
I know this is asking a lot and I probably will have more questions and I know I should have chosen something easier for my first project but this is a bit of a passion project
