Board game?

Hi all I am new to the forum as well as completely new to making games, I want to make a pretty basic board game with rolling dice, similar to a monopoly game for my sons computer, but not sure if this is the correct program to use for something like that or can any one give any advice on what program to use? thank you

You know,i started in Ge there are 3 months!I can say that it's the best game-making software i have ever seen! Even Rpg-maker falls against Ge!

Thank you very much, I have been trying to understand this program it looks great, but I dont know the script to use. Is there any where (site or book) that would explain the script? Basically I would like to make a board similar to monopoly, with either "to do" things as the player lands on them like go back 2 spaces or something, and maybe a space to answer trivia or math questions with multiple answers (fun learning for my son) and of course dice to roll on screen for the pices to move. Thanks again for any help or advice on this. I would love to make even a simple version of this to give to my son for the holidays.
