Linux Kernel can do that as well, you just have to write your own "display type" I call them, its just like a desktop enviroment but obviously not a desktop xD Its something capable of loading up graphics. Thats all you need :3 But you have a lot to learn before being able to do that.

Good luck :D

You know, E17 will work on even a phone as long as it has 200MHZ or more. with 64MB ram, lookie:
http://www.enlightenment.org/p.php?p=about&l=en

Screens from even less than QVGA (320x240 or 240x320) screens all the way up to and beyond full-HD (1920x1080) are covered by EFL. It has the ability to scale user interfaces to almost any sane resolution, as well as adapt to differing input device resolutions, from mouse and stylus to fat fingers. It can draw displays from e-paper through 8-bit paletted displays, 16bit beautifully dithered ones all the way to full 24/32bit OLED beauties.

Hey Goomba, I was talking to my friend about this (he's a lot older than me and knows much more about computer hardware). He said that you should try using a mini ITX board. I can't remeber all he said about it but I think it's basically a small motherboard with internal memory and a built in processor. I'd look it up and learn more about it

@Hblade: I couldn't help but notice that you were talking a lot about kernels. Would you mind explaining to me what those are? :P

the "Linux Kernel" is the version of the actual LINUX you're using. Of course you can have versions of ubuntu for example, but if you really want the latest version of linux, you'd compile a Kernel (The very core operating system it's self). A kernel is basicaly a cake, and the linux desktop invornments/graphics/audio are the icing and sprinkles to the cake. And as everyone knows, you can design/decorate your own cake :)

Oh cool! I'm assuming that it's hard to edit a kernel?

That's actually not a bad price. I'd buy one if I knew how to use it :P
