hey everyone i finally got a computer but its been a couple months and i forgot some stuff can someone tell me the basics so i can remember.

how do you make something sticky? like... you are making a platform game and you have a moving platform that moves to something that you want to get to but you dont stick to the platform and slip off as the platform as it moves
also i want to have something speed up like a ball for breakout but the ball doesnt allways go one way so i need something to speed it up in anyway its going.
