That's not the same situation. You use M$ Office because you need to write something for YOURSELF, not for other people. The question is, why have I pay for something that I use to do something for OTHER people and I don't want to ask money from them?

If you write a novel you're not just writing it for yourself. Even if you just write a letter that's not just for yourself.

Why don't you call up the people at Adobe and ask them if you can have a copy of Photoshop for free because you plan on making clipart for others to enjoy but you're not going to sell it?

Go ahead, call up Macromedia and ask for a free copy of DreamWeaver because you don't plan on making commercial websites.

Do you think they'll care? Of course not!

Even among individual programmers, most of them don't give a flying fart about how you're going to use their program, as long as you pay them. Sure there are exceptions, and those are nice... but you shouldn't expect that as a rule!

If you don't want to spend money, find a game making tool that doesn't cost any.

I don't think any of us here were actually getting angry about this, we just got into debate mode that's all. I doubt that it would have escalated out of control.

OK.

peaple that have good pay check will certainly tink GE is at good price.
But like peaple like me, its rather hard to buy it, no credits card, not much money for us and need persanal or thingamajeg repair or Healt care, anyway satifaction will depens on people pay check and how much money they have.
