sometimes I will save something as jpeg then save it as png. the colors will automatically blend that way. still it don't work all the time. I also use a shading effect that is similar to that in my avatar but with a little difference:

actually it is a character I made up. it just appeared in my mind once, so if it resembles a pokemon it is coincidence.
