Does anyone know of a good resource for game sprites? I found the GIMP to be quite a nice tool, but also has its limitations...

I am looking for things like crates, candles, rockets, fans, cars, balls, cannons, parachutes, little men... I know its a long shot, but you never know.

Check out Tile Studio as a tool for creating everything yourself and for characters and objects etc hunt around for RPG maker 2000 web sites, grab the tiles from them and try them out.

I don't think you can use them commercially though.

Also try TurboSquid.com and 3dCafe.com
