ive tried with other extensions as well, but here.

change the extension to png and crop the white pixels out manully

they should be already cropped out. according to the game editor, the far left corner color should be completely cropped. this has never happened before

The problem is that the pixels aren't actually white. The original image was compressed and because of that blurs the image. And though it may look like those pixels are white, they aren't perfectly so (look really closely at the image and you can see the difference). So when gE goes to remove white (255, 255, 255) it won't remove those around the castle. As schnellboot said you'll have to remove whiteout those pixels to get it to look nice.

the jpg extention distorts the image a little, if not set to 100% quality. Therefor, some of the white piels may have RGB values of 254, 254, 254, and it creates random bad quality pixels as well. Use .png, .gif, or something else

color the background with some other color then you'll see the unwanted pixels
color them with the same color and then you can color everything white again
dont forget to save in png
