Before anyone reads this, I love game editor, I'll never leave it, but yeah :/

I'm sick and tired of working on something then GE crashes out of noware with no way of recovery. I know Save every now and then BUT I CANT DO ANYTHING! It closes about every 5 minutes, and it's not my OS, and it's not only my copy of GE because it does it on 2 diferent computers. 1's an ubuntu, and this one is a Windows XP. Something messed up in the new compilation.

It seems like it crashes when your in the script editor, and you press okay. When it crashes, sometimes it'll have the crash recovery, sometimes it wont.


I FOUND IT
The crash happends when you accedently click on "Add" then cancel that, then click add again.

Do you have downloaded the version here in the Game Editor site?
I'm trying to see what is wrong.

Can you give some more info? There is a crash with an error message or just an exit?
This happen when you are working on a game or even without interaction with the Game Editor?

Sorry mak, I wont stop, but there is no error message either :/ It simply closes . And yeah it is the new version

I get relatively random crashes as well, but I always have, and it is with the Linux version. I have figured out some of the crash patterns, the most prevalent being if you have an unsaved ged file, and you click Add in script, but then you go back to editing the script, next time you click add it will crash, and as it is unsaved it does not recover. I have been able to avoid most of the crashes I used to encounter so that is the only one I have to really try to avoid.

I have crashes when i export to windows mobile. Now I save the game very often , I never posted it here because I know there no way to fix it. Just save your game often.

yes mine crashes very often, same problems as above.. anytime you add certain functions to the script, or click "add" too many times it crashes. I'm running Ubuntu Lucid

I still have jaunty jackalope (9.04) installed, I put ge on it about two weeks ago, the same thing. Anytime i click 'add' in the script editor, it crashed.

Its because of when you click ok, if you dont click anything and then you get rid of that little tiny menu, it doesn't update the fact that the menu is gone, so it gets stuck in a loop when you click ok again

I found a way around this. If that does happen just glick Global Code, the FPS will do a somewhat spike, then you can click ok again
