RPG style maps and editor

It would be great for us RPG fans to be able to create games with GE if GE could support multiple maps. As it stands GE works on one single map and destroys and creates actors as necessary.

It would be great if

-GE could run actors on a map and have several different maps that you could link to.

-have a tile mapper that doesn't slow down the performance of the game

-have an integrated quest/inventory/battle/save game/menu scripts

RPG Toolkit is an open source RPG maker - perhaps someone could edit the program and add it as a plug-in for GE?

You could write your own system to do this.
Mortal Enemy of IF....THEN(and Inspector Gadget)

Still ThreeFingerPete to tekdino

Yep, but that’s also the beauty of GE and one of its main strengths, its so flexible and doesn’t lead you towards developing any one style of game, as an example, my last project was a platform jumping game, my current project is a turn based RTS, two completely different styles of game :)

One great feature of GE is the ability to merge projects, so if you were to write a system to handle inventory or speech etc you could save it as a module (seperate file) and import it into any future projects, very useful and much more flexible that any other products I've tried!
