Both, cuz whit icon workshop you can make grdiants and being capable of doing smouth and 32 bits image! (I just wish for the program of being able to go over 512x512)

Not to sound arsh...but, please stop telling me that i have both gimps and photshop cs2 full!, but i like better programs for making pixel pefect thing, ok

you can zoom in to get pixel perfect painting. Just press plus or minus to zoom in, and use the smallest brush (1x1 pixel) with the pencil tool.
