Trip To Mars' future.

Postby NightOfHorror » Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:46 pm

I worked hard on this game and promised to finish it. I might just break it for it seems as if GE is just not willing to let me. Not you guys I am talking in a more complex way. Help after Help can really make a guy feel like he is not good. I want to make levels, but I have no idea how to do it along with title screen. Trip To Mars is a special game to me, for it is my first official game(tennis was a warm-up). Trip To Mars future is in your choice. Do or do not. Be honest too.

If you aren't willing to learn, then don't. You should be making games because you want to, not because we want you to. Learning takes dedication, and if you lack self motivation, it will show in your work, or lack thereof. Everyone here is willing to help, but you have to put in the effort to truly learn from it, otherwise you will never progress. gE is a tool we use, it doesn't hinder you. How could it not be willing to let you make your game? The fate of your game is ultimately up to you.

Like I said I was speaking in more complex way. But I don't like feeling like a bother to people trying to make games themselves. I just feel like I need to learn everything. I learned some things on own like how to create explosion.

If you really insist that you are being a nuisance then just search the forums, more times than not your question has been answered in some way or another. I learned almost exclusively this way, as pretty much any questions I couldn't figure out myself were already been answered. A lot of learning gameEditor is like solving a puzzle, but like any puzzle it takes time.

Well asking questions isnt a bother , but I tell you what. Some of the questions you have had are in my tutorials. I see your very hyper , like I get sometimes. Settle down and go through all my tutorials. They will cover the basics. I will tell you the biggest secret I learn is to go slow in order to go faster. What that means is dont try to make an awesome game 1st time out. It took me a while to understand everything and about 3 months before I made a game for my cellphone. Trust me take 2 days off from being on game editor and master all the tutorials that I made. After you got those down pat , then start making your game and you will find it much easier. Best of luck my friend!!!!! Never quit!!!!!

By the way, you don't have to feel like you're being a neisiance just because you ask a lot of questions :)
Everybody here is more than willing to help and enjoy it to. :D
If you ever have a question, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK
And also, I have to agree, it's a bad idea to make a game just because you think that someone wants you to :D you gotta have some motivation. :D
