I need to know how to make your own actors without using Photoshop, but Paint instead (if you can).

also

The tutorials didn't work well because sometimes the mouse thing didn't
actually click.

Just use the paint and save the image in bmp format.

if u want to use another program without photoshop
may be u can try "Adobe Image Ready"
it's can draw like pixel art anad it's can make animation clip
after that u can save .gif and use in GameEditor
