i voted for the fruit but to be serious yes. my screen can handle it. but being even more serious if the game is good its good. screensize isnt more important that a good feel to the game.

when you have High definition screens (HDMI), playing a game full resolution really is something more than seeing pixels all over the place, beleive me and I say this for 2D and 3D games

also 1280x720 is not exacly HD but it's widescreen. I recomend always having a 4:3 resolution until widescreen is in almost every home :P

um it may be great but id still take an awesome retro game over a awesomely graphiced game with poor playability. and isnt 1280x720 hd? seems like a hard term to define. contraversial to say the least.

Every year, the term should "loose" some of it's meaning, because there are more and more "HD" capable machines now-a-days. 1280x720 might have been HD 5-10 years ago, but it's getting away from that with bigger and bigger resolution... I don't suppose they're going to come up with new words to say High Defenition in 50 years from now... "Buy this ZupraD TV now for 58883.99$!"

edit/ i got new pc and hd monitor- 640/480 no longer appeals cause it gets stretched. any less and it wont even try to stretch and you just have a gameboy screen in the middle of your big monitor.

so far 1176/664 is the lowest non squewed resolusion on a 16/9 monitor.

i can fix stretching in 640/480 if i set the tv to 4/3 but loose screen space.
hd is great for art but making sprite sheets within safe, not crash or stall your game resolusions is important too. i asume these resolution brackets are due to my intel graphics.
720/408 would be a good rez but though its 16/9 like my monitor- it is virtically squashed to look super stretched.
