Can someone make me a graphic similar to that in fancy pants adventure, with a running, a jumping and a falling animation

Your using Windows 7 Paint right? Well if so it doesn't have very good transparency with PNG files.
I suggest you download Kolour Paint or GIMP they have better control over transparency.

Also, isn't Kolour Paint Linux-only?

No I have it on my Windows 7 computer I downloaded a KDE framework and selected Kolour Paint from a list!
