FPS BEAST

Postby Troodon » Sun Aug 26, 2007 4:55 pm

Hi,
Let me introduce FPS Beast beta. It test your computers perfomance by putting your CPU usage slowly upwards. If you want, try it and give me the result times. My computer (RAM 1GB) got 38-40.

Average fps 90-100, lowest fps 72, my cpu usage didn't reach 100%
So how does it test performance? No score or anything

Murd_machine, the only score it displays is how many seconds your CPU supported it. Also it draws you a graph about your CPU usage during the test.

Freddy, yeah the idea was to make the test as heavy as possible. My computer also couldn't complete it but I will make it still heavier for more powerfull computers. :)

 I can make it even cooler when GEysir (GE script) will have variables such real_GHz, real_RAM and real_CPUusage.

Mine just closes all CPU heavy things soon after the fps values has dropped in 0.

So what you mean with deleting the junk? The RAM gets rid of it automaticly.

what I mean is, after your program has finished the test or failed it, it still lags (I need to close it whit alt+ctrl+del because it lags too much) but mine deletes the actor that was created for the slow down, so it doesn't lag after =3

Ah, even in the first version of my program it stops lagging some seconds after the test has ended!
Just wait some time after the fps has dropped to zero and it will be fast again. :)
