gemac - sell your games on mac appstore - interresting?

I am currently working on gemac. gemac enables you to build your games for the mac appstore.

The mac appstore is a fantastic marketplace. Basically you can sell every ge game on the mac appstore - as long as it meets some apple requirements.

gemac is a xcode project which will do that for you. You will need a mac. It will probably pay-off over some time if your game is good.

Along with some reading I am sure you will make real money. I personally prefer http://www.amazon.de/Business-Iphone-Ip ... 1430233001

I would love to do this! If I could just make a good enough game... and own a mac :)

Well gemac would be an xcode project, so it really is that apple doesn't let anyone else use xcode... but you could get a virtual machine of a mac on your windows machine, and download xcode on it. Not sure how suggested it is, but a quick search shows that it has been done.

That's an interesting idea. I wouldn't have ever thought of that. I should do more research on how to set up a virtual machine so I can play around with xcode. Perhaps it won't be as stable as using a real mac though. But as you said, someone's done it before.

Well most people, like me, don't even know how mac works, so I personally, won't venture in developing into a platform I don't know about. But I know this could benefit a lot of people as well! I think it's a good idea

You also have to take into consideration the number of active members. All things considered, 10 is a lot if you think of the number of people who have actually read this topic since it was created. I know I've looked at it multiple times due to replies, and anyone else involved has probably done the same. This kind of feature is desired elsewhere, so with its creation could bring a lot more interested users.
