The animations and the code world aren't in contact like that in GE. You must simulate them separately. That's possible but requires some work. First, you need to rotate the sprite in some software and take a pic of it in all angles that he can be in the game. (like, every 5 degree, every 15 degree etc depending on the level of awesomeness you want to achieve)
