Questions about this editor

Postby BBHOLIDAY » Wed Jun 23, 2010 3:40 pm

I have a few questions about this editor before diving in.

1. Are there any plans to add 3d capabilities to this editor, and if so When?

2. I noticed a few posts in the threads about not being able to export a game that can meet Microsofts marketplace requirements/standards due to the editors incapability, will those issues be fixed?

3. Are there any industry game companies using this editor or are the majority of the users indie developers?

4. Can you give the name of some commercial games that have been made with this editor that have been successful in the game industry?

Thanks,

If your looking for a highly advanced game engine that can fit the modern day needs then you've come to the wrong place for that so far. For now game editor remains simple, as far as I'm concerned 3D will be in development but not any time soon.

Please look at the Game Editor beta for more information regarding the updates on Game Editor. :D

Thanks,

Yes, but I dont know when this can be done.

I noticed a few posts in the threads about not being able to export a game that can meet Microsofts marketplace requirements/standards due to the editors incapability, will those issues be fixed?

There are a lot of different Windows Mobile devices in the market. Game Editor works good in many devices but not in all.
For example, the call works in some devices and in others not.

We need help to make Game Editor works in all devices.

Are there any industry game companies using this editor or are the majority of the users indie developers?
Can you give the name of some commercial games that have been made with this editor that have been successful in the game industry?

What is the definition of successful game?

What I know is the Game Editor is used by developer to make commercial games.
We dont request the users tell us what they are publishing.
So, I cant tell what games in the market are done with Game Editor.
Game Editor is an open source game creator software that's wants to pay it's developers to keep evolving.

Thanks Hblade and those who provided answers. This helps very much.

To: Makslane,

Not trying to sound like a butt hole, but successful means: marked by a favourable outcome, or having obtained fame, wealth, etc.

for exmaple, if you ask Epic Games the makers of the Unreal Editor they'll give you names of games such as: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, Gears of War, Batman, Mass Effect 2, Army of Two and this list goes on. Can you provide names of some popular games that have been made with this editor? Pc or other wise.
