Yes to Game Editor, though the expansion of options if/when the program gains more followers/demand will always be welcome. The competition of Unity and Game Maker is always present. I haven't heard of Construct 2 until this thread, thanks.

I agree that Game Editor is fun to program side scrolling games on despite the tough learning curve with the C Language and learning your first game on it, though the options and interface are pretty user friendly I'm happy to say. Even so, the challenge was within possibility and I thank the creator of Game Editor very much for all of his efforts in creating this program and offering it to many. Thank you. :D

GAME CONTROLLER PROGRAMMING: As mentioned by Knuckle Crunch Games
Setting up a controller is complicated at first, I agree and I haven't had success with this yet. Is the XBox 360 the best controller to program games with? I have a super nintendo game pad for PC/Mac, but for the Dpad, I cannot for the life of it, figure out how to get that to work, only the buttons. The DPad remains undiscovered for some reason. I'm guessing the 360 controller DPad and sticks get recognized much easier?
