i made a game at school but when i hit export it looked like it was doing something but nothing happened i took it home and tried but that didn't help can anyone help
Hmm, that is weird. Make sure you know where you're output destination Folder for your game is. And I would try to export in different export types Just to see if .EXE isn't working or if all of exports arent(.DAT, .GED, ETC.)
i tryed all of the export types and im useing the new ge
what i do is i go to file and hit export then i type a name and go to select i navagate to the desktop and hit ok i select windows exicuteable and hit export it goes to the hour glass the hour glass goes away and nothing happens
Well, you came across a very peculiar problem. In the exported versions, your view actor doesn't exist (it was never created). Despite this, the game can continue more or less. This was partially caused by a bug, I'll take it up with akr. But, you set the view to not be created on startup. This doesn't do anything in game mode, but when you go to export the game, the exported version never creates the view actor.
One protection from this (that doesn't seem to work) is that you aren't supposed to be able to parent actors to any actor that has its create at startup disabled. For some reason you were allowed to with the view... Anyway, set the view to create at startup and your problem is fixed.
