1st Controls demo

Postby jimmynewguy » Mon Sep 28, 2009 9:13 pm

Howdy yall! I'm releasing the first demo for Ronnie: The Machine. This is just the basic controls as i don't want to give away alot of the stuff and ruin it for every one :). I drew everything and made all sounds. I still need to make an icon, music, and enemies. As well as add a few moves

CONTROLS:
left/right - move
down - slam attack to break bricks
z - to jump - tap to jump, hold to jump higher
c - to change weapon: The 3 bullets is auto - and the big purple is charged shot (you will start with single shot in the real game)
x - shoot - hold to charge shot/shoot auto - also save when in a save point and open chests (the things that fly out are health pickups lol)
ground=more friction - you will slide on ice

I really want comments and critiques on this, cause i will make a full blown out game from this. Also state any moves, locations, enemies, you name it that you want and i can try to add them in (unless it's like a flying poo throwing monkey[*DST*cough]) :D OH, and don't delete slot one, or the game won't work right.....

Hey! Pretty good controls! They kinda feel familiar, lol.

Feels good so far, I'd like to see more area and some camera movement too! Keep it up and ttyl!

You set the standards for platform games in GE! I'm really exited it looks this good (it's not great but it's better than i ever thought i could do) well i hope to hear from more people than just you lol ttyl!

I think we'll all love the final version. It's just fun controlling your character. Nice ideas!
One small thing you might like to fix though: If you hold down the "down arrow" key and run agains the wall, your player keeps bashing.

thanx kall! That's a bug i need to iron out!

I'm sad to say i'm not feeling 100% today so i didn't go to school. Just being at home gives me the urge to work on this :) I'll see what i can do today. So what do you guys think? Another demo before the full game or just keep going 'till it's done?
