Hello all, after i submit a lot of silly questions i want to show that i don't waste my time :twisted:
I want to present a game that.. took me a lot hours per day and a work over 4 years non-stop. Why?
Because im making animated effects over 100 frames on a graphical program and also the game is kinda large. I've never seen larger game in the GED yet, so i hope that will grab your interest. Let me present game named Azel. I submit my first release since 2010 but it is awful and just a demo-test. What you can do in the game:

Your char is a legendary mage that prefer to hide himself till he defeat the final boss (the dark one) because he took
your (azel's) identity on a kinda brutal way. An oracle give to you 8 different skills with different effects and very very cool graphics.
You have to kill 3 bosses till The Dark One: Amphortas The Greate in the forest (lvl 10), Cerberus (lvl 50) in the temple and Leviatan (lvl 80) in the desert.
So far i got 1 photo of cerberus and animate her to move in idle status and 4 different ways to attack :). I get free datas ONLY for background stuff that is not important
like trees and stones for decoration. But wait, thats not just the game! Actually that is just the start!
You can repeat the battles in the different places so you can obtain drops (hp, sp potions, skills for higher level, enhancement stones, money..). With the money you can go
to shop that i intend to include the following items:
1HP Potion - 1$ (restore with 5)
1HP Regeneration Potion - 1$ (retore with 1 each second for 5 seconds)
SP Potion - 1$ (restore with 5)
SP Regeneration Potion - 1$ (restore with 1 each seond for 5 seconds)
2 Apple - 1$ (restore with 2)
Meterorite skill (level 40) - 100$
Rage skill (Level 20) - 25$
3 elrues - 5$
3 lix - 10$
3 xir - 15$
Mdef scroll (increase mdef with 5 for 1 minute) - 5$
Mdmg scroll (increase mdmg with 5 for 1 minute) - 5$
HP scroll (increase hp with 50% for 1 minute) - 10$
Mana scroll (increase mana with 50% for 1 minute) - 10$
Evasion scroll (increase evasion with 10% for 1 minute) - 5$
Lethal Armor - 2$ (increase mdef with 3)
Wooden Armor - 5$ (increase mdef with 5)
Iron Armor - 10$ (increase mdef with 10)
cure - 2$

With the enhancement stones you can upgrade your weapon, that you can get when u defeat Amphortas the mage. When you upgrade it to +3 using single stones
it glows and it upgrades damage, more glows and damage for +6 and for +9.
Exactly! They are also stats: Damage, Defense, Speed and Evasion (opponet's misses) That you can upgrade each time you level up and get upgrade point!
The speed makes your skills faster. (at lvl 10 your skills automatic upgrades and become stronger with larger animations)
All Skills i made by miself with hard working and i will show some examples if i see someone even comment :p
I know what you thinking, that guy dream.. lol no because the first stage of the game is already in omega-stage of work [6/12] things r done atm.. those are just the bugs
the gameplay works. All skills have kinda majestic sound effects of course and i take care for the stages and songs to be euphoric so it will grab your interest enough to
forget that is Game Editor Project.

Cool project you've been working on. That screenshot looks nice too, especially that mage on the right. I like all that there is a lot of information you can see about the spell. I would edit your forum post so that there isn't that yellow text though, it's kinda difficult to read.

Oh yes, i just wanted to avoid skipping of the text..
I don't have good stylish and English knows, so i would like to change it with your version.
The photo is just when you launch the game.. so its on practice shows only the starting screen design.

Thins i got free for the first stage:

[1] is a base 1, with will mean it can be calculated as 1 object, titled "Background"

I will inform for all used data files and inform are they protected by copyright.
Till i didn't share my data files public yet, creating copyright is pointless. But i will show the soundtrack i any case. Thanks.

Thanks for the interest on the game!
Well, yes i HAD a problem with motivation on any game i develop, because if i stop edit the game for more then 2 days i forgot how i made all that :oops: It was a total mass! But in this game i trace any any of my action and include my own systems (that i primary wrote in notepad). So yes, i enjoy continue editing this game since i know what i am doing :D

Ok, about the potion. Is that your graphic?
It looks cool. I just had a free time to make a simple one, like 3 days ago, but it looks awful :)

Yep, I use open source programs. Did a rough outline and side profile from it in Inkscape (Vector program), then used this in blender (3D program) used the lathing (screw) modifier to turn side profile into 3D and touched up in Gimp (Art program). I've included the gimp file (Potion.xcf). The useful thing with this file is that you can apply the colorise filter in GIMP to get all the other potion colors. Ajajajajaj for the game, and all my data i use GNU Image Manipulation Program. I work better on GIMP then on Game Editor. I was about to learn 100% GIMP 3 years ago :D Thats my favorite program. So hell yea, i can work on GIMP :)
For the potion i just used MSpaint :lol:

The first stage is almost complete. (Elements for Fix DONE 9/12) (Status: Omega)
And also some additional elemts:

(CF) EXP For each level is different.
(FF) Enemy Defense before his death. (tester job)
(FF) Stalker dont work when some restart after enemy is dead WHYYYYYY!??!?!
(CF) Snake dissapear when someone is dead. After the restart she can be normal summoned.
(CA) Evasion
(FF) Different Time on The Forest.
(CA) Story
(PF) HP Upgrade
(CA) Grinding Terrain
CurrentFix > Current Add > Future Fix > Possible Fix

Because the game is large i will make each stages, involved enhancement in a different game, that will be loaded by the primary one from the menu.
You will be able to save your stats and exp. Possible stats that you can upgrade each level: (Mdmg, Mdef, Evasion, Speed, HP) Of course all works properly.
The general bosses will give u the most exp, but in the grinding terrain you can quick kill mobs for exp too. The general bosses also drop special items and skills
Like Weapons, armor, potions, enhancement stones. The story is also voice made :lol: . Premium purchase store that including scenes for NPC Battles, premium outlook items and etc will be made at the final. The story is cool and ironic so NO SKIP BUTTONS xD

Hey Bat78. This RPG game looks promising for GE. Lots of details in the player stats and upgrades from the description and pics of the Magician character. 8)
Any chance you can post a video of the game in action based on your progress? 4 years, that's a big investment of time. I know you've since began other projects. Is this still in the works?

What is the biggest challenge in creating an RPG like AZEL with Gimp and GE?

Ahh.. I was hoping to not be asked about this game.
Sadly now that is questioned.. I have no other choice but to explain its case.

As you can see, it is pretty old.
I stopped its development and turned it into an "Idea holder" on purpose.
This appears to be my most complex game, more advanced than any game one can suggest, with custom addicting graphics and sounds not that far from the same thing. So yes. That was the purpose. Even now that I subdued my programming skills on the highest level possible, I am not ready to START this game, out from the idea holder. It would require SABRE, Game Editor Online, Wanle SCORE, BitFox, foxyGI (completed stand-alone version) and several games before that in order to do this.

Also, it is extremely out-of-date. I even continued programming this for a while.. and the latest game has 3 more stats: Evasion, Speed and Aim (I might be wrong about that though), the stage looks much better it has sand, animated grass synced with the stage wind sound, the main character has been drawn to look better than Amphortas, energy bar etc. But all these are useless even though I had working action scene with working 6 stats, change for you to obtain his staff, possibility for you to enhance that weapon with another drops and make it glowing (and stronger) from another game, equip it from inventory etc etc.

The latest updates on it were kinda addicting so it also turned into a dream. My goal game.
So the title looks more like a lie if taken seriously, yeah sorry about that. It is meant to represent 4 years of work, but not exactly on it, but on things required for it.
