Problems running executables on Samsung SGH-i300 Smartphone

Postby kruze » Sat Oct 28, 2006 6:56 pm

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what is happening when I execute my files on the Smartphone. Basically I've now compiled two examples as listed below.

1) Personal GED of mine with music file playing
2) Explosion GED from the demo's included with GE

With the first example which I created the music played on the phone and pressing a key exited the app as it was written. However there was no change in display I was still looking at the contents of the file manager from where I executed the app although it was clearly running due to the music being heard.

I first thought it may be something to do with screen initialisation or update that was causing the problem in my GED something I'd not done, so I chose to try an included example. In the explosion GED the same thing no screen display or update simply me looking at the directory structure again.

Please can anyone shed any light on what is happening and where do I stand regarding my purchase as I now have GE and it doesn't work on my particular smartphone (so far).

Also the icon resource which I choose to use for the compiled executables does not display when I view the exe either within Windows or the Smartphone. Not a happy bunny :)

Thx in advance.

Any update Makslane, I've not heard back via email yet and was curious to see if you received the files and had any idea what was wrong.

I will take a look in this issue in this week.
I think can be something related with 18bit screen of your device.
