Aaction points on sprites

Postby jcoggins » Fri May 25, 2007 11:04 pm

It seems that the default action point on sprites is the middle of the sprite. For example when moving another sprite to the location of the original sprite the moved sprite goes to the center of the target sprite.

Is there a way to change the action point of the sprite to a different part of the sprite other then the center?

I know I could change the target location of the moving sprite's movement command to target a different part of the target sprite but if I could change the location of the action point that would allow me to only have to make one change instead of having to change a lot of other sprites.

I thought GE covered this,
because in one of my first games I did not post(everybody will thank me that I did not post them!) I had an actor with a narrow walking animation and a wide punching animation,
when I made him attack with the punching animation he was not set off by the animation width ect. :D

but yes, that would work. :D

Right now (10/14/2009) I'm working on some C++ projects, but I might be able to help if you have some Game Editor questions. :)
