Help with sprites!!! (move if in wrong place)

Hello there I am new to the forum and I need desperate help I made a button for iphone and when i tried to test it in a test game the white area was around the button like the white around the button was apart of the sprite could someone help me with this dilemma? I'm at school right now so i can't post the sprite now i do it later...HELP!!!

This sounds like geplayer's problem handling transparency, but until you post the image, it is hard to tell. And so you know, post questions in the support section.

Oh ok i will post the image after school sometime today or tomorrow. thank you for telling about the questions bit oh by the way if it makes a difference the sprite was made in Paint and... does it have to be a PNG file? because i think i saved it as something else... ill check when i get home.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! How do you post pictures? oh and it is a JPEG image oh wait... oh there's a button on the bottom for ading files i didn't see that ... so here it is... *sigh* only three days in and i'm already making newbie mistakes oh well...

JPEGs are not recommended to use as sprites in GE. It's better for backgrounds. It's recommended you use PNGs for sprites anywhere.
I'll fix it for you.

Ah, when you said made a button for iphone, I assumed you meant it was white around the border on iphone only. Your problem was that you didn't use transparency, or use a background color. If your image doesn't have an alpha channel, it will take the top left pixel and turn all similarly colored pixels transparent.
