Talk about making games.

Release is out early as I need help with the following:

Ladders - Could not figure out how to raise the player after collision with the ladders.

Walking animation - Did some graphics (really bad ones to try it out) but no code implementation done. (also couldn't figure out why it didn't work)

Please help if you know how to do either of the above! A +1 will make its way to you if you do!

Just to let people know I am back working on this! Some day it will be awesome but for now I am just working on it bit by bit until its a fully playable game.

Here is some stuff I built into the current development release:

Dialogs for switching to new weapons picked up:

New weapon - Desert Eagle:

New inventory dialog for changing equiped items/weapons:

Lastly a death dialog so you can restart the level:

Also added is breakable glass, more of the first level and one enemy for testing purposes.

Next thing I was gonna add is grenades as the mechanics for guns are already done but nothing has been done on grenades. Any advice on how to do grenades is most welcome here! :) (+1 for any good advice!)

Wow thanks for letting me know! :D

I didn't know my link was broken at all!

Soon I will release my latest work. I was gonna release it after finishing the first level but thats gonna take too long.

One thing that I will find hard is enemy movement around the level, Ive no idea how to implement this!

well for a platformer there's many differn't types of ai's that can be done, question is do you have an idea of how you want your enemy to behave?

I want the enemy to patrol an area but then attack if the player is nearby. I have the attacking part done with a collision (although its not perfect yet), so I just need to do some kind of patrolling stuff.

First I will finished the basics of the first level, then I will upload so you can work on the enemy character included. :)

Next release uploaded.

Included is an enemy dressed in blue. He will knife the player when a collision happens but I want him to patrol somewhere and start chasing the player if near.

Alice you can try implement this if you like and send either the updated game or just the code. :) (of course anyone else is free to help me with the AI)

you could use ge's path's and create differn't paths for the enemy and just have him choose through these paths everytime he finishes his current path i would make it myself but im about to sleep for a bit, you could try looking into it see where you get? :D
