June Tournament

Postby NightOfHorror » Sun May 27, 2012 6:36 pm

Let us first congratulate Tzoli on winning last months tournament.

Its a bit early, but I want to start this a bit early to give you guys a few extra days for planning and or a few extra days to make. This theme is special, but you guys won't know why. The theme for this month is birthday. It gives you guys a bit more flexibility too if you decide to think outside the box a bit. I am only going to be a judge this time. All games must be submitted by the 29th of June and judging process will be from the 30th of June to the 2nd July. The award ceremony will be on the 3rd of July. Also, next month, you guys will receive a gift from me. :D

The grading rubric is as follows.

theme- x/10 (how much they follow the theme)
originality- x/10 (Did the creator had new elements to the game)
creativity- x/10 (Were elements added to the game that enhanced game-play)
game-play- x/10 (Were there bugs, did you enjoy the time you played the game, and would you play it again)
graphics- x/10 (Did the graphics enhance the game-play, did it appeal you more to the game)
music/sound- x/5 (Did the sound and music enhance the game-play)
overall- x/20 (How did you feel about the game as a whole)
Total- x/75 (All the element points added together)
JudgeCombinedTotal- x/75j (j=total judges. This is part of the master judges rubric which I am going to be this tournament. This is your final score)
Bonus- Cake- x/10 (This is bonus isn't if you include it, but how you use it to enhance game-play)
JudgeCombinedBonus- x/10j (j=total judges. This is part of the master judges rubric which I am going to be in this tournament. This is your final Bonus Score)

Let me remind you that bonus doesn't add on to the Total Score, it is just a tie-breaker.

Good Luck! :D

No, on the post, it says when you judge week is. I mean, you can give people scores in your mind, but you can't send it to master judge until the end of judge week when you should really be looking at all the submitted games critically. Also, don't release scores to the public, only pm me (this month's master judge) the scores you have. After I announce the winner at the June Awards Ceremony (July 3rd) if a person asks what you scored them for, you are allowed to say. Just be prepared though. If only one person enters, then there will be no need to judge.

I'm afraid I'll be too busy for the next couple of months to enter. I'm doing volunteer work as well as game design classes at TSTC, and unfortunately, I'll be using GM, not GE. So I won't be able to work on an entry :(

I will make a game for the tournament after I buy a new computer because mine is currently broken(and too expensive and unnecessary to repair it because it was really bad one).
It will be an action-platformer game without violence(like killing).
