Now let's see how we are going to create a link for your Application to App-Store, Iphone stroe.

First, Open the Game editor program and click "Add Actor" put your name.
In this case, I used "btnLink" ,then click "Add Actor".

Next, Import your image for your button.
Image
in Actor Control, Add animation >> File >> (select your image) >> ok.

Third, add action for your button Link.
Image
in Actor Control. Event section click,
Add >> Mouse Button Down >> Script Editor.
Then use function " openURL" and put your link in the box.

Beware!!!, you must put the " " for your link. If not, the link will be note as "script".

Now let's run "Game mode".

when click on the Button it will automatic open your web browser.

Note:
If you use this "openURL" function on the iPhone, iPhone will automatic open "AppStore" and link the page to your APP.
as the below images.

I did exactly what you put here but I cant get it to work. When I press button in my game , nothing happens. On computer it works fine but not on ipod??
When you put link in openURL it puts " for you. Is there anything else I have to do?

Make sure you write the whole URL, including http://

Anyway, openUrl doesn't work with my computer (I use ubuntu).
I don't know why but it does exactly nothing.

I've Just spotted this thread, if you are adding a link to an app in the App Store you might find this useful. Apple provide a tool that builds the URLs in the correct format for you: http://itunes.apple.com/linkmaker
Inogames: http://www.inogames.com iOS gaming
Firetop Adventure (app store): http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/firetop- ... ?mt=8&ls=1

sorry for bringing up an older thread, but here, openUrl does nothing at all. not in game mode, not as executable, simply nothing.
is it deactivated for some reason??

I brought this up a while ago as well, apparently its a known bug. I removed the openurl buttons from my game in the end. It wasn't clear if a fix would be in 1.5 or not, only Makslane or Akr will know for sure...

I will post a new updated geplayer and geapp soon. Will contain a sample game.dat file which can replaced easily. Furthermore will be easy to use with xcode 4.
