As you all know, Game Editor is basically dead without change. This is for many reasons; mainly there is no funding for the devs and the little activity on the forums, suggesting no one is using it but the true supporters. Since funding is hard when there is only a small support group (even smaller when you realise a lot can't legally give money as they are under 18), what we need to do is attract more people. Some possible ideas for this are:
a. A proper youtube channel dedicated to showing off new games being developed as well as housing video tutorials
b. A kickstarter campaign that will both provide money to those willing to update the source code as well as providing interest in GE
c. A social media presence, not as easy but with the right planning, possibly a quick way to get interest
Of course the best thing would be to just reskin the program and add the features that the forums have been begging for during the past couple of years, ie proper phone exporting and testing, rotation, a fixing of features such as move to, etc, but the list above avoids any tampering of the code to get more people involved.
I personally think that the youtube channel is the best op but I'll let you all decide. If it was a youtube channel, there would have to be a couple of people running it and posting every two or three days for it to become noticed
