sonicforvergame wrote:Well i could sum up this sprites

This sprite kinda have the same style of painting in old Egypt pyramids,it was drawn as a sign of emphasizing the torso and showing only the profile of the head of the God,ARTISTICALLY this sprite have his own style,BUT technically and graphically it is plain wrong, the head is way to round and the hair is to baldy and have no hair effectt, the eyes and mouth show an expression (which i consider wrong, since i only add emotions if my player is happy or hit ),as for the arms the style itself is wrong an the legs have the same problem too :"they are too far from each other, and there is no depth between each legs"

All i can do now is to review, but if you want i can redo this image ,and the image only,i am not making a sprite out of it .you should find your own way to make a sprite only of a simple image(it's not difficult if you have the right tools and thinking)

As for the critic for game selling part:well if i was searching for graphics games ,i wouldn't buy your game if it had this sprite.

And finally ,why are you making such a big deal about selling game right know, you should take your time and as i said improve your skill before posting something that might not really have potential.

nah I'll improve the graphics myself.

You should stick to freeware games for now, until you improve your skills.

Well, when it comes to it, graphics may play a small role in games, but it can't be that large, or video games would not be as popular as they are today. Do you think the games of the past had the best graphics. In today's world, they are an essential part in western cultures, but don't let graphics ever bring you down. :)

Well i can add an example to what Night of horror said:

My dad used to play The original Doom 1 on his PC as soon as it was available to buy It was in the 85's or a litle bit more
In this period of time Doom was considered one of the best game of it's time, even thought the graphics where like
WELL THIS:
doom.jpg

As you can See ever period of time has it own system and graphics.
This was just a reminder that graphics have and Had their own period of success
And now in the present, everybody can make beautiful things with a little bit of practice

Oh by the way KNUX :
keep in mind that making a game by yourself is great especially if you are then able to show that you improved in many ways,i look forward to see what kind of game and graphics you will show.

Just as a sidenote, sonicforvergame, that game's graphics were great when the game was made.
Today that kind of graphics are considered bad, but at that time it was about the best possible thing the computers were able to run.
