I played around with this to see if I could figure it out. It seems to be linked with the fact that for the fire you are using a custom animation sequence. I have tested with using the full frames of animation and it works fine doing that. I am going to test some more on alternating frame selection and see if that works, I will post the results.

!UPDATE! - it appears it is definitely to do with the custom sequence, however there is a workaround. I took the frames from the original png and recreated your custom animation frame by frame in a new png file. Loading that file with a frame count of 17 and rate of 10fps gave results you were looking for. Here is the new graphic file to download:

It should work, I have it working in this one. What exactly is it not doing now? check and make sure you have changed the animation into using the basic full cycle and not the custom frame playback. I can zip up the one that I have here if you want me to.

Ok here it is.

I also included the enemy attacking for that just to make sure it wouldn't affect anything.

This is corrected for bmp error. Sorry, I had cleaned the unneeded graphics out but it was the animation selected when it loads in.

Sorry about that. I tried to clean out the extra graphics I had tried earlier that you didn't need. Unfortunately, the bmp file was the one set to load in when GE started, that is the reason for the error. I removed the references to it and cleaned out all the other animations I had tried. It should work now. Just download from my earlier post, it has the corrected one there now.
