I'm making an rts game and hit as the title says "problems"
Thank you to everyone who helps or tries to.
1) physical response, i have a thread on support but all the things said do nothing to help... I need the actor to STOP moving when colliding/ed with the border...
2) Creating actors;
I'd like the game to create/ draw actors precisely when needed. I know I will need to use timers for this. But i'm no good with timers. Also when 1 actor 'fires', I do not wish for the actor to be instantly destoryed and allthe other actors of the same kind to be destroyed... Also if 1 actor 'fires'
3) Parameters;
'units' need parameters, I don't know if I am supposed to use variables or timers for this?
e.g. Actor A has parameters of say... 10 damage points and 10 armour points and actor B has 20 damage points and 20 armour armour points. (obviousy by discribing it you would generally know who would win )
so actor A would be destroyed... and actor B would still be in its position. But actor B's health time/variable would be decreased by a number.
if ur reading this i'm surprised im bored of typing now...
4) Selecting and interface problems;
When a unit is clicked on i.e, selected; I would like an actor (healthbar) that shows the amount of health in both colour and length... There are tutorials but I just get lost half way through..

Oh yeah, I missed this one out... Is it possible using GE to program CPU's so they can; Use terrain to their advantage, know exactly what to move and where... Its probably possible but only with variables...
