Shoot Soccer ver 1.0 - Multiplayer Game

Postby monsterbrain » Sun Jan 27, 2013 3:55 am

Shoot soccer is a quick prototype of a multiplayer game i wanted to make for a long time. It was inspired by ...hmm.. Blobby Volley or Soccer Heads championship (Although its entirely different). This is strictly a 2 player game, using only 4 Buttons QW,OP (Inspired by another game QWOP). So grab a friend or your brother & have some fun.

Download Game : https://www.box.com/s/c97dt7nlrasjdr5k8pzl (~1.45 mb)

Tech:
I've changed a bit graphics and all, after the first playtesting. Some elements confused the players. I could understand their confusion but i don't have any realistic ideas on how to change the entire thing to a fully playable one.

The circle-circle collision is done with the help of a tutorial from http://gamedev.tutsplus.com/tutorials/implementation/when-worlds-collide-simulating-circle-circle-collisions/.

Music : Contra, Wrestle & Audacity
Sounds : SFXR
Graphics : Gimp

Download the GED files from here : https://www.box.com/s/trdedgme5t07rptcw6ib (~1.1 mb)

I remember doing a topic about multiplayer games. Do you plug an extra keyboard in?
that's what I do :)

Of course not ... I try to divide the keyboard (select keys far apart) so that two people could use same keyboard. It forms some kind of emotional bond through the keys.... :)
