Getting Started--> Adding Paths tutorial

Postby Just4Fun » Wed Feb 16, 2005 9:46 pm

I'm wondering if someone could please help me clarify a question that I have about Paths.

The tutorial mentions using a formula to figure out the path duration.

"If your game runs at 30 fps (frames per second) and your path has 60 frames, the total duration will be 2 seconds."

Then the tutorial mentions filling in the "Frame" input box. However, the input in the tutorial is 90 frames. (Add 30 +60?-2 is never used.) I don't get it! :? TIA
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

If your game run at 30fps and have a 90 frame path, the path duration will be 90/30 = 3 seconds.

So:

1. Duration is only used to compute how long it will take to complete the path?

2. Duration isn't used when settting up the initial Path?

:?: TIA

Yes

The only way to inform the duration is in the initial setup
