I know we have these topics every month, and nothing ever happens. Everyone gets the point, make a game, spread the news, but for once, we have to do something about it. Perhaps the first thing to do is relieve some of the weights off sky's back and to anyone who can, help develop GE, and not only that, create excitement about it, which anyone can do. Maybe we should have some huge announcement on the home page or some forum that GE 1.4.1 is close to being released. I would like it if we can do some reconstruction to the home page as well if that is allowed. The first thing to raise the popularity of a Game engine though, is maintaining the popularity throughout the year, something that for the past few years, has not been happening. It would be nice if we all pitched in more than just making games, but we need to release news about it, like Wertyboy and Bee-Ant did with their games as it was in progress. Also, we need to ask more questions if needed, to show people how much the community is willing to help and not bully others who are not as good as them, don't let pride get in the way. It would be nice to have a link to the chat website as well on the forum page like there use to be, just as a nice add- on to the site for members on right now. If we all put 20 minutes of our day, I am not asking more than that, and I assume many of us have more than that time for free- time as why would we be searching stuff like this that requires work and time if we didn't, exceptions being acedemics as they are above all priorities most of the time. It would be good also, to show the Feature request page on the forums near the game dev and general as people will see that and get reminded of its precense, showing people that GE cares about the opinions of the users. This is something that one man can not do by himself, it takes a loyal team, and I feel sky, wel I hope he does anyway, would appreciate any help he can get at developing not only GE, but the GE community as well. Being a team-project and all, this has to gain support from you guys to happen, and then we have to do something, it won't magically happen.
That is all I needed to say.
