How do i make my character shoot and jump once only?

Sorry for bugging you guys but i'm new at this. Can anyone tell me how to make my guy shoot and jump once? When i shoot and hold down the shooting button, my character shoots out a river of bullets! Thats a bug i need to fix. Plus the jumping. I don't mean to jump once, but maybe twice. When i press the jump button a couple of times, my character floats into space! Someone help this newbie out. :oops: :?: :wink:

on the button for the Shooting thing change the Reapeat to NO
