?? Create Actor-->Initial Position-->Relative to Creat

Postby Just4Fun » Mon Feb 21, 2005 4:49 pm

I'm having a little problem with "Relative to Creator".

1. I create an Actor.
2. I set the Actor's initial position.
3. I select "No" for "Relative to Creator".
4. I save and close the game.
5. I reopen the game and the "Relative to Creator" is set back to "Yes".

Has anyone else ever seen this problem?
or
Can anyone tell me if I am missing something obvious.

Thank you for your help...
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

Hello Just4Fun :D How are you ?

To answer your question, yes I get the same result.

I've created Actor A and Actor B.
On Actor A, I put a MouseDown event. On MouseDown Create Actor B ( Relative to Creator = No and I define the ActorB's x and y )
Works well :o

Now, I delete my event and put another one.
On MouseDown event, Create Actor B ( Relative to Actor = No but I let the B x and y to 0 ) On Gamemode, will work. Save, quit and open, it will no more work :?

THANK YOU Ingsan,

This problem has been driving me crazy! I am glad (or maybe not) to find out that this is a "bug" of some sort.
I will delete everything and start again. Maybe that will fix the problem. If not, I will look for a work-around. I am still trying not to use much script so it may be hard to find a work-around.

(Makslane, are you reading this thread?)

PS. Ingsan, I wish I lived on an Island. Are you home now? :D
