first you draw several pics that you want to display in your avatar as animation and then save them all.
then you need a software that puts them all together into a .gif animation.
it's just like a picture, only animated.
I use animake, but it's a German software, you probably won't understand anything :|

I don't think so, but if you found a way there, may work...

or search google for a gif animator, you might get a free trial version.

Just to let you know, you only need ms paint to animate something. If you are creating an image on a different software, you could probably copy and paste it into paint, or just open that file with paint. Anyway, let's say that you have four images that need to be animated. What you would do is: save your first image as "whateverit'scalled1". You would save the second image as "whateverit'scalled2". The third as: "whateverit'scalled3", and Im pretty sure that you can guess the last one. You would then go to game editor, open the first image in your animation, and do the multiple frames thing. I hope this helped. :D

woha, just a minute...

he wants to have the animation as an avatar in the forums, so he would need an animated gif file.
I don't think you can do that with GE.

easy way to do it... use pivot but it is a low graphic animator(256 colors)
save it as ".gif"
SAVE THE TREES AND RECYCLE!!! YEAH!!!!
