NightOfHorror wrote:Okay, so I finally got to play it, and I am stating that this is first impressions only, not the finalized one, and my first impression is the following:
- Epic Music
- Nice credits
- When I opened up the actual game, it had the dialogue, and I just thought it was cool to see a story in a GE game, and it was nice that you went ahead to explain several things, such as the shy guys' ability to breathe in space.
- Some parts were cut off though, I couldn't see all the text in a line at some parts.
- The actual game came and I tried to remember the controls and did, but for some reason, I am confused how upgrading works, I pressed space bar and the 3 upgradeable things came up and I clicked on the, but it did nothing to the SP number, and I noticed no stat changes, I also used enter to attempt to do so since enter is confirm, but that didn't work either, so I would like to have that a bit more explained for me, it probably is just a dumb mistake of my own.
- Level 1 enemies weren't tough if you could dodge successfully, and fire at the right time to destroy them, but when they did hit you, you were punished, usually half my health was gone just like that.
- The boss confuses me, as I can't destroy the defenses fast enough to get to the actual boss, and they destroy me, probably because I don't know how to upgrade.
- One thing I recommend is an option for us to skip text reading, and go straight to the game-play, as I would lose, I pressed enter a lot, this is at least before I noticed the resume option on the corner, but in case we want to do a quick-play, although the theme is story, it would be nice to be able to skip it if we already know the story.
- Epic Music
Again, this is first impressions, based on stage 1, I will wait to find out how to upgrade before continuing, and I will give a finalized review later.

Thanks for the review, and nice template!
Comic Sans is intended, for those who want to quit. Muahahahha! They shall feel the Comic Sans' wrath!

Lol, still not gonna change it, until I get some better idea for a quit button.
NightOfHorror wrote:I don't have a problem with comic sans, but now that the game-play is a bit less confusing, the game-play should be a bit better for me. Just when you update this, remember to add all instructions and such.
NightOfHorror wrote:I beat level 1 and got to level 2 and all I can think is wtheck. Level 2 goes from the boss of level 1 being a level 5 wisp to the normal enemies being level 10. A bit unfair to say the least as it is hard when the wisps hit you they take a 4th of your health. Also, the music is a bit weird in that level, it sounds peaceful, like something that would occur after you beat a final boss, or in an epilogue, or in the beginning when they talk about how peaceful the land used to be.
