Player Demo - Walking, Jumping, Projectiles, and Combos.

Postby Sgt. Sparky » Fri Oct 10, 2008 5:41 pm

Hey, here is a simple demo I made today. I haven't really done all that much testing, because it is meant for learning purposes.
The controls are simple:
    A - Left
    D - Right
    W - Jump

    R+SPACE - Fire a bunch of shots.
    Mouse - aim
    SPACE - Fire Shot

Movement key + SPACE - Begin the shot firing in that direction.

This demo also demonstrates a simple effect for explosions that makes them look like they are actually emitting light.

I hope this helps.
If anybody wants demos on more advanced things (Loading maps, AI, Laser shooting robots, ect.) Let me know, I will make it for you.

Right now (10/14/2009) I'm working on some C++ projects, but I might be able to help if you have some Game Editor questions. :)

it's nice though the collision is a little in-solid. I suggest you check out the new collision scripts by DST (or pyro or was that feral? XD).

I didn't finish it. But I'm working on a project that will allow me to make better games, so I might finish the wizard game later on.
